  This started as a kit from STF Electronics. However, I added a couple of tweaks, with help from Casey4, who has the definitive set of drawings and build steps on his yahoo briefcase.

A primitive job indeed... and inside did you note the backwards labeling on the big cap? That threw me, what a way to start an initial amp project.

Tweaks

Note, from L - R, the standby switch on the back of the volume pot, the tone control, on a push-pull pot (pull and it's a champ, push and it's a Princeton), and switched cathode bypass caps for both preamp stages...I tried 22uF but that was too much bass, 1 uF work really well. Note with both bypass caps on, you get blocking distortion...that can be fixed but the fix would affect the classic tones...so for now, I only use the first stage bypass (which sounds best anyway).
